The Strokes and Friends: A Concert for Maya Wiley

Join The Strokes & Friends for the first fully vaxxed, full capacity indoor concert in NYC benefitting the Maya Wiley for Mayor campaign! All proceeds go to the fight to elect the first woman mayor of NYC on June 22nd. 

All ticket purchasers must be over 18 years of age and a citizen of the United States (or a lawfully admitted permanent resident). All attendees are required to verify their vaccination status at the door or be denied entry. Purchase limit is 2 tickets.  Tickets go on sale June 9 at 12pm ET.

Contribution Rules

  • All proceeds go to the fight to elect the first woman mayor of NYC and to get out the vote for the citywide election on June 22nd.

  • Campaign finance laws require that you MUST be over the age of 18 and a citizen of the United States (or a lawfully admitted permanent resident) to purchase a ticket.

  • State law prohibits making a contribution in someone else’s name, reimbursing someone for a contribution made in your name, being reimbursed for a contribution made in your name, or claiming to have made a contribution when a loan is made.
  • I understand that State law requires that a contribution be in my name and be from my own funds. I hereby affirm that I was not, nor, to my knowledge, was anyone else, reimbursed in any manner for this contribution; that this contribution is not being made as a loan; and that this contribution is being made from my personal funds or my personal account, which has no corporate or business affiliation.

COVID Stipulations

  • Irving Plaza is complying with New York State mandates that require all guests to be fully vaccinated for this full-capacity event.
  • Guests must have proof of full COVID-19 vaccination with the final dose having been administered 14 days prior to the event. Vaccination status will be checked by security at the door.
  • A Covid Waiver will be required upon ticket purchase.

Ticket & Irving Plaza Stipulations 

  • The limit per purchase is two tickets. 
  • All tickets for this event will be delivered as mobile tickets. With digital ticketing, your mobile phone becomes your ticket, enabling a more contactless entry experience.
  • Please arrive two hours prior to showtime. All packages, including briefcases and pocketbooks, will be inspected prior to entry.
  • All bags and clutches must be clear material for entry.
    • Clear plastic, vinyl or PVC bags (maximum size: 12″x6″x12″)
    • Small clutch bags approximately the size of a hand (maximum size: 4.5″x6.5″)

Why is so much information required in order to purchase my ticket? 

In order to comply with Campaign Finance Law, information about each guest making a donation to the Maya Wiley campaign is required. 

 

How many guests will be attending? 

Irving Plaza will be at full capacity, which is nearly 1000 attendees. All attendees will be required to prove their vaccination status prior to entry. 

 

What are the COVID protocols? 

All attendees must provide verification that they are fully vaccinated and beyond the 14 day wait period to gain entry. Security will check verification at the door. Any who are not fully vaccinated will be refunded and denied entry. All event staff will be fully vaccinated as well. Per New York City regulations, masks are not required inside the concert venue.

 

How can I provide verification of my vaccination status? 

You can provide verification of your vaccination status at the door in one of three ways: 

  1. Show your vaccination card and valid government issued photo ID
  2. Show a photo of your vaccination card and valid government issued photo ID
  3. Download the Excelsior Pass app, upload your vaccination information, and show your credentials via phone. 

 

What time should I arrive? 

We recommend that guests arrive two hours prior to showtime due to added vaccination security checks. All bags will be inspected. All bags must be clear material and sizing must be 12″x6″x12.” 

 

How do I get my ticket(s)? 

You will receive an email from Ticketmaster at least one day prior to the event with instructions to log in and download your mobile ticket. If you purchased two tickets, please NOTE that instructions will be sent to you and your companion to download your mobile ticket.

 

Are there food & beverage options available?

Yes. Concessions will be open for purchase.

 

How much of my ticket purchase will go to the campaign? 

All proceeds from this concert will benefit Maya for Mayor, Inc. Contributions are limited to $2,000 per election. Tickets may not be purchased using funds from a business, corporation, individual doing with New York City and listed in the City’s Doing Business database, and individuals and entities prohibited from making contributions pursuant to the Current Rules adopted by the New York City Campaign Finance Board, codified in Title 52 of the Official Compilation of the Rules of York City.
